Hola mis queridos amigos y familia,
Not much time, but first we got transfer calls. I am unexpectedly moving only after being here for one transfer to Volgograd! It was a zone with different nearby cities having areas, but know because of less amount of missionaries we have it is now just a district with sisters and us. So we will be in charge of a couple areas, just to check up on every once in a while. I will also be the older companion, but not really Elder Johnson who is only a transfer behind me is one of my favorites from the MTC! I was actually suppose to go to Kazan which is higher up than Moscow, but because of some laws and stuff, elders from our mission can't go there until like December, but I am very excited to move out and work hard in Volgograd. The city is famous because it is where WW2 ended are the turning point for Russia.
The WW2 bomb shelters were insane! I wish I
could show you all the pictures. The old man working there was a legend and let
us go in the tanks and let us move the canons. The place was way far out and
nobody knows about it. We then explored the shelters which went on for miles!
Definitely the coolest P-day.
Also, our one and only recent convert is on the
run from the cops and running back to Mexico so that was an
interesting event. Love the guy though.
We found some awesome potentials this week, one
is an awesome photographer! And the other is a cool volleyball coach. We worked
hard here in Zapadney and they should have a great next transfer!
Miss you all, Love Elder VanBuskirk
Our boy is now in Mexico!
trying to find a way out of the bomb shelter

This guy wasn't there when we took the
picture...
